Ryan Murphy’s New Anthology Series, ‘American Horror Stories,’ Releases Cast List

It has been a huge few months for the American Horror Story franchise. Ryan Murphy’s (Glee) big claim to fame has been one of the most watched anthology series to ever hit cable television, and it is still going strong. Via Deadline, the franchise’s new spinoff, American Horror Stories, has announced its new cast of veterans and rookies alike.

In a social media promo on creator Murphy’s Instagram, the new show released many of the names that will appear. A few veterans of the parent show, American Horror Story, have found their way to the fledgling series including Billie Lourd (Booksmart), Matt Bomer (The Sinner), and John Carroll Lynch (Zodiac). All three have played major parts for Murphy in the past and seem to be more than happy to work with him again. Their characters’ names have been announced as Lourd will play Liv Whitely, Bomer will play Michael, and Lynch is tasked with being Larry Bitterman.

The three vets are not the only big names on the list. Model Kaia Gerber (The Last Day of Summer) and all around badass Danny Trejo (Breaking Bad) have been tapped for parts in the new show as well.

One of the big perks of an anthology series is the ability to have a new, fresh cast for each season. American Horror Stories takes this to an even greater length with a new cast each episode. They will also have a new story each episode, creating multiple stand-alone episodes.

Starting July 15th, American Horror Stories will release an episode every week, exclusively on Hulu.
