Rob Lowe (The Outsiders) will team up with Parks and Recreation writer and producer, Alan Yang (Master of None) to bring fans back to Pawnee, Indiana with a new podcast entitled Parks and Recollection, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lowe and Yang will reminisce about old episodes from Parks and Recreation as well as reveal behind-the-scene moments and interview cast members, including Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Fred Armisen (Big Mouth), and Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog).
Airing on NBC from 2009 to 2015, Parks and Recreation followed an Indiana Parks and Recreation Department led by a cynical Ron Swanson, played by Nick Offerman (We’re the Millers), and an eager Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler (Sisters). The mockumentary-style comedy also started Aubrey Plaza (Dirty Grandpa), Retta (Good Girls), and Rashida Jones (The Office).
Lowe’s recent announcement follows the recently-launched second season of his own podcast, entitled Literally! With Rob Lowe, which serves as a reference to his character on Parks and Recreation, Chris Traeger. The upcoming podcast also joins the list of television stars who have initiated podcasts to discuss their former shows, including The Office’s Jenna Fischer (Blades of Glory) and Angela Kinsey (Haters Back Off) in their podcast entitled The Office Ladies, as well as The OC’s Rachel Bilson (Hart of Dixie) and Melinda Clark (Return of the Living Dead III) in their podcast entitled Welcome to the OC, Bitches!.
The first episode of Parks and Recollection will premiere on September 14. The official announcement can be watched below.
