TNT has renewed cop drama Rizzoli & Isles for a fifth season.
The drama stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander as a Boston cop and her quirky medical examiner. Tough-as-nails Rizzoli and oddball Isles have formed an unlikely friendship and use their differences as an advantage when catching killers.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Rizzoli & Isles consistently produced amazing numbers and is ranked #1 out of all summer’s basic cable television shows with an average of 8.4 million viewers.
TNT also renewed Major Crimes and Perception, along with the renewal of Falling Skies. Major Crimes averages more than 6.7 million viewers while Perception averages aabout 5.6 million viewers per episode.
