Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty has released the uncensored version of its entire season five premiere on YouTube, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The season four finale aired in May 2020, with the return episode, titled Mort Finner Rick Andre, having launched Sunday evening.
The animated sitcom follows sociopathic scientist Rick and his grandchild Morty as they go on adventures across the universe, despite the reluctance of his son-in-law, Jerry. Justin Roiland (Solar Opposites) voices both Rick and Morty. The show’s fifth season reportedly guest stars Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Christina Ricci (The Addams Family), and Alison Brie (BoJack Horseman). Since its release in 2013, the series has been well-received by its audiences, with its fourth season having delivered 2.3 million viewers upon its premiere.
Rick and Morty‘s uncensored fifth season premiere already accumulated 1.7 million views by the middle of the day and was No. 2 trending on YouTube on the day of its release.
