The newest trailer of Apple TV’s For All Mankind’s fifth season has officially landed, and showcases the stakes have skyrocketed from the events of the previous seasons. According to Screenrant, the series focuses on alternative timeline in which Soviet Union beats the USA to making a journey to the moon in the year 1969. The prevent episode focus on a tense asteroid heist in which Ed Baldwin, played by Joel Kinnaman (The Suicide Squad, The Silent Night) and the other Mars detainees trying to keep the Goldilocks asteroid in Mars’ orbit, securing the planet’s future
Reported by Screenrant, the trailer showcased a timeskip and leaping towards 2012, in which the asteroid had become Kuznetsov Station, and that the main focus will surround the confrontation between Mars and the Earth. We also see that an insurrection is starting to form and that people are tired of being used as nothing but tools for the rich. Along with Kinnaman, other series regular st to return in the upcoming season will include Toby Kebbell (Servant, Fantastic Four), Edi Gathegi (Superman, Twilight) and Cynthy Wu (Weird Date, Holidate).
The footage also showcasing new series regula which will be Mireille Enos (The Killing, Hanna), Costa Ronin (The Endgame, Homeland), and Sean Kaufman (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Manifest), whose roles have yet to be announced. Apple reports, the sci-fi series will be produced by the combined efforts of emmy winners, Matt Wolpert (Fargo, American Crime Story) and Ben Nedivi (Star City, Baltimore), who took over since the third season.
With its signature blend of hard sci-fi realism and gut-wrenching drama, season five promises to be the most explosive chapter yet. According to Apple, the fifth season of For All Mankind is scheduled to makes its debut on March 27, and while waiting the previous seasons are available to stream on Apple TV.
