The 1994 cult comedy that examined the life of Generation X college graduates is being crafted into a TV show for NBC, confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
Co-star in the original film, Ben Stiller, will make his directorial debut executive producing alongside Red Hour’s Debbie Liebling and Stuart Cornfeld, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Houston centered show “is based on the film and revolves around a recent college graduate named Lelaina Pierce as she struggles to find her way romantically and professionally in the recession-plagued, pre-Internet early 1990s,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
NBC ordered a script commitment for the TV adaptation.
