Romano has just signed onto the untitled drama pilot, Deadline reports.
The pilot is set in the 1970s in New York and explores the drug and sex-fueled music business as punk and disco were breaking out. It will be shown through the eyes of record executive Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale.)
Romano will play Zak Yankovick, a tough and sharp-witted Head of Promotions of American Century and Riche’s close confidante and right hand man.
The new project from executive producers Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger, George Mastras and Terence Winter is looking at a summer production start date.
