Ray Donovan, Dexter Make Showtime History– Again

In only its second week, Ray Donovan has made Showtime history once again.

The freshman drama series made headlines last week when its premiere drew an audience of 1.35 million, the largest in network history. It improved on those ratings in its second week with an audience of 1.6 million—up 15 percent from its debut.

Donovan is the first Showtime original series to improve on its ratings in its second week.

Dexter, which airs before Ray Donovan, also gained an even larger audience with its second episode. 2.48 million viewers in its first week became 2.52 in its second, marking the first time the established series has improved from week one to week two.

Both shows air Sunday nights beginning at 9 PM on Showtime.
