New promo footage for the upcoming Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again has been released and received TV-MA rating. According to Comicbook, a post on the MCY Film X pages gives glimpse into the journey that Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox (The Defenders) and his companions will be facing and with the caption states “The devil’s work is never done”. Daredevil isn’t the only character seen within the promo as we also get glimpse into Kingpin, played Vincent D’Onofrio (Echo), and The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead).
According to Comicbook, the TV-MA rating is significant not just for the approaching series, but for the broader landscape of Marvel content on Disney+. View the new promo below.
The series shworunner, Dario Scardapane (Memory) speaks with Comicbook about the level of action and violence to expect,“The level of violence is way up there for a Marvel/Disney show,” he told Empire Magazine. “I don’t think there’s anything else even in the ballpark. There’s a moment in this that is just absolutely batshit, and way past anything Netflix ever did.”
“There’s a world in which you might think that if that show kept running, we’d be in this place eventually, or something like it,” added star Vincent D’Onofrio. “But we’ve gone further in the darkness, the action, the nastiness.”
According to mxdwn post, the series will also showcase new characters from the comics, such as White Tiger, played by Kamar de los Reyes (All American), and Muse, whose actor has yet to be announced. The show’s storyline revolves around Matt and Wilson forging an unexpected alliance to restore order to New York.
While fans await on the release of the new series which is scheduled for March 4, the previous Daredevil series, as well as all other installments within the Marvel franchise are available to stream on Disney+
