Prime Video’s ‘The Boys’ Drops Season Three Trailer

Fans of The Boys will be delighted to hear recent news regarding the upcoming season three of the series. In an Instagram post by theboystv account, the new trailer for the show’s third season premieres alongside the caption: “Well, well, well, if it ain’t THE BOYS S3 official trailer. Strap in mates, one helluva ride coming your way 6.3.22 on Prime Video.” This news comes alongside the premiere date being set for June 3.

According to the show description in the Prime Video announcement, “The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super-powerful.”

The show finished its last season in October of 2020, leaving fans anxiously wondering where the show would go next after its even more gory and occasionally political second season. This time around it seems as though the ante has once again been up’ed, with even more corruption and morally-ambiguous characters.

The first three episodes will be rolling out on June 3, with additional episodes airing every following Friday and the season finale premiering on Friday, July 8. You can watch all of the new episodes when they are available on Prime Video.
