Prime Video young adult drama series Off Campus has quickly become one of the platform’s biggest breakout hits of the year following its recent debut. According to Deadline, the college romance series accumulated 36 million viewers worldwide within its first 12 days of release, making it the third most-viewed debut season in Prime Video history.
The series now ranks behind only season one of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Fallout among the streaming platform’s most successful debut seasons. Amazon also reportedly revealed that Off Campus became Prime Video’s most-viewed debut season ever among women ages 18-34.
Off Campus is based on the bestselling book series by Elle Kennedy (“The Deal,” “The Mistake,” “The Score”). Created by Louisa Levy (The Flight Attendant, Death and Other Details, In the Dark), the series follows an elite college hockey team and the complicated relationships surrounding them as the students navigate romance, heartbreak, friendship, and adulthood. Season one primarily focuses on the relationship between songwriter Hannah Wells and Briar University hockey star Garrett Graham.
The series stars Ella Bright (Malory Towers, The Crown, Holmes & Watson) as Hannah and Belmont Cameli (Until Dawn, Along for the Ride, Saved by the Bell) as Garrett. Additional cast members include Stephen Kalyn (The Perfect Wedding, Cascade, Transplant), Antonio Cipriano (National Treasure: Edge of History, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, A Week Away), Jalen Thomas Brooks (The Pitt, Walker, Thanksgiving), and Mika Abdalla (Snack Shack, The Pitt, Project Mc²).
Off Campus premiered on May 13 as part of Prime Video’s “Obsession Is In Session” lineup of YA originals. Ahead of the show’s release, Amazon renewed the series for a second season in February 2026, with filming expected to begin soon. India Fowler (Fear Street: Prom Queen, White Lines, The Strangers: Chapter 1) is also set to join the upcoming season as Grace Ivers.
Deadline also reported that the series benefited from Prime Video’s growing success with young adult programming following popular titles including The Summer I Turned Pretty, We Were Liars, and Maxton Hall.
Levy serves as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Gina Fattore (Californication, Dawson’s Creek, Reunion). The series is executive produced by Wyck Godfrey (The Maze Runner, People We Meet on Vacation, First Man), Marty Bowen (People We Meet on Vacation, Fatherhood, The Maze Runner), and James Seidman (Swagger, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Off Campus) for Temple Hill.
