Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ Writers Share How Soon Fans Can Expect A Second Season

According to Comicbook.com, in recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Caption Marvel, Tomb Raider, Artemis) and Graham Wagner (Portlandia, Silicon Valley) provided insights into what fans can expect from the eagerly anticipated second season of Fallout.

Although they refrained from giving an exact release date, their comments were optimistic. “I’m hesitant to give a date that will be taken out of context and live on Reddit for a year or so. But we are going as fast as we possibly can, and we’ve got a lot of heavy lifting from season one already done,” Wagner stated. “We have sets, assets, and visual effects that are already done. We are hitting the ground running this season. We’re going to be pedal to the metal to get season two out as fast as humanly possible.”

Since the show’s premiere on Prime Video in April, Fallout has been a runaway success with both critics and audiences. The series has garnered a strong following, and people are eager to see how the new storylines unfold. As mentioned by Comicbook.com, it has consistently received positive reviews. Right now, Fallout is the most popular series on the streamer worldwide. The show has performed so well internationally that viewers outside of the US make up about 60% of its total viewership. After debuting on Prime Video for barely one week, the show received second-season renewal, as mentioned in another article.

According to Comicbook.com, the conversation also revisited the showrunners’ ambitions for the series’ longevity. While they acknowledge that the decision isn’t entirely within their control, the success of the first season has made the prospect of extending the series to five seasons more appealing. Robertson-Dworet expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue exploring the Fallout universe, hinting at the inclusion of elements that didn’t make it into the first season. “We’re really grateful to have the opportunity to bring to the screen all the things that didn’t quite fit in season one,” she said.

As the series moves forward, it promises to continue delivering the rich storytelling and immersive world-building that has captivated both fans of the game and new viewers alike.
