According to Deadline, Prime Video has recently set a premiere date for Vivienne Medrano’s (Helluva Boss) adult animated series Hazbin Hotel. The series is scheduled to premiere on January 19th, 2024 on the streamer. The series will exclusively air on Prime Video in more than 240 countries worldwide. Medrano serves as executive producer and directed all episodes. Joel Kuwahara (Bob’s Burgers), Dana Tafoya-Cameron (Duncanville), and Scott Bennet Greenberg (The Guilty) also serve as executive producers for the series.
According to Deadline, the streamer also has announced a variety of guest stars that includes Broadway vets Darren Criss (Glee) as Saint Peter, Jeremy Jordan (Supergirl) as Lucifer Morningstar, Daphne Rubin-Vega (In the Heights) as Carmilla Carmine, Patina Miller (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2) as Sera, and Jessica Vosk (Company) as Lute. The guest cast will also be announced in Broadway style via the marquee at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood today from 8 am to 6 pm PT.
According to Deadline, the series will follow Charlie, a princess of Hell, as she pursues her impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to reduce overpopulation in her kingdom peacefully. Charlie opens up a hotel after a yearly determination that was imposed by angels in hopes that many of the patrons will check out into Heaven.
Some of the main cast of the series includes Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Vaggie, Erika Henningsen (Blue Bloods) as Charlie Morningstar, Alex Brightman (Dead End: Paranormal Park) as Sir Pentious, Keith David (Rick and Morty) as Husk, Kimiko Glenn (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) as Niffty, Blake Roman (Weiner Police) as Angel Dust, Amir Talai (The Circle) as Alastor, Christian Borle (Blackhat) as Vox, and Joel Perez (The Outs) as Valentino.
Hazbin Hotel will be produced by A24 and Fox Entertainment’s animation studio Bento Box Entertainment. The series will premiere on Prime Video on January 19th, 2024.
