According to Comicbook, Prime Video has revealed new poster for the animated series Sausage Party: Foodtopia, telling the official release date. The series was first announced in 2022 following the mixed reviews of the Sausage Party movie that aired in 2016. The show will continue the rated R antics of the film when it premieres on July 11th on Prime Video.

According to Comicbook, the series, which is created by Seth Rogen (Superbad, Pineapple Express) and Evan Goldberg (This is the End, Invincible), will have many of the original cast and crew of the film joining them once again. The series is set to have a total of eight episodes in its first season. It will be premiering on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories around the world.
According to Prime Video, the series will be based on the 2016 film and follow the same characters with a few new additions. The series follows Frank, Brenda, Barry, and Sammy as they establish their society.
The series cast has many of the original voices reprising their roles; this includes Rogen as Frank, Kristen Wiig (Big Mouth, Zoolander 2) as Brenda, Michael Cera (Arrested Development, Scott Pilgrim Take Off) as Barry, David Krumholz (Oppenheimer, The Deuce) as Lavash, Edward Norton (Fight Club, American History X) as Sammy. Joining the cast this time around is Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth, MacGruber), Sam Richardson (Velma, Veep), Natasha Rothwell (Wonka, Insecure), and Yassir Lester (Duncanville, Making History)
The series will be executive produced by Ariel Shaffir (Bull, Blue Bloods) and Kyle Hunter (50/50, Future Man), who also serve as showrunners. Hunter and Shaffir also worked on the film as co-writers alongside Rogen and Goldberg.
Sausage Party: Foodtopia is a co-production of Annapurna Television, Sony Pictures Television, and Amazon MGM Studios.
