[spoiler alerts ] Prime Video’s longest-running franchise, Bosch: Legacy, will return with its third and final season on March 27. The season will debut four episodes on that date, with two new episodes each week leading up to the finale on April 17. According to Prime Video’s press release, “the series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.”
The season will follow Titus Welliver (Deadwood, The Town) who plays Harry Bosch, a retired LAPD homicide detective turned private investigator, as he investigates a murder case that uncovers dangerous secrets. Mimi Rogers (The X-Files, Austin Powers) who plays Honey “Money” Chandler , an attorney losing faith in the justice system, and Maddie Bosch played by Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead, Big Sky), who faces the challenges of being a patrol cop, also return to navigate their own troubled paths.
“The murder investigation of Kurt Dockweiler brings dangerous secrets to light and threatens to ruin the lives of our three principal characters,” said the Prime Video press release.
Season Three of Bosch: Legacy draws inspiration from Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels Desert Star and The Black Ice. The story sees Harry Bosch confronting the limits of justice after the disappearance of a family, while Honey Chandler fights to become the next District Attorney of Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Maddie finds herself involved in a series of violent follow-home robberies. As Prime Video’s press release notes, “The disappearance of a family haunts Harry Bosch and forces him to confront the limits of justice.”
Returning cast members include Stephen A. Chang(This Is Us, Hawaii Five-0) Maurice “Mo” Bassi, Denise Sanchez(The Good Place, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) Det. Reina Vasquez, and Scott Klace (NCIS: New Orleans, Castle) Sgt. John Mankiewicz. New faces will join the final season, including Tommy Martinez (Good Trouble, Riverdale) Albert Torres, Orla Brady (Star Trek: Picard, American Odyssey ) Siobhan Murphy, and Chris Bauer (The Deuce, True Blood) Sheriff Deputy Jack Garrity. According to the press release, Bosch: Legacy is “executive produced by Michael Connelly(The Lincoln Lawyer, Castle), Eric Overmyer (The Man in the High Castle, Law & Order), Tom Bernardo(The Lincoln Lawyer, The Movies That Made Me), Henrik Bastin (Interrogation, American Odyssey), Pieter Jan Brugge (Love & Other Drugs, Miami Vice), and Titus Welliver (The Mandalorian ,Sons of Anarchy).”
