Prime Video has released first look images of the second season of David DiGilio’s (Traveler, Eight Below) The Terminal List, as first revealed in an official company press release. The action-thriller series starring Chris Pratt (The Garfield Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy) will return on October 21 of this year, dropping all eight episodes in a simultaneous release.
Season one of The Terminal List, which premiered in 2022 and is adapted from a series of novels by author Jack Carr, saw Pratt step into the combat boots of Lieutenant Commander James Reece, who returns home from a failed military operation to discover his wife and daughter have been murdered. Now on the run from the same government he once took orders from, Reece becomes obsessed with killing those responsible and uncovering a conspiracy at the heart of the U.S. military — no matter the cost.
Though overall critical reception to Terminal List was lukewarm (per The Hollywood Reporter), the show nevertheless garnered significant attention, debuting at Number 3 on the Nielsen streaming charts upon its premiere (via TVLine). Prime Video’s satisfaction with the series’ performance was validated by the announcement of second season in 2023, as well as a prequel spin-off, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.
Per the Prime Video release, season two of The Terminal List “puts James Reece on a journey of violent redemption, finding a new purpose after finishing his list. The psychological revenge thriller of season one opens up into a globe-trotting espionage thriller taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Joined by returning fan favorites (…) Reece will uncover a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley and ties into his own family’s history.”
In addition to Pratt, returning cast members include Tom Hopper (Love in the Villa, The Umbrella Academy), Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians, Fresh Off the Boat) and Dar Salim (Borgen, The Covenant). Prime Video also places emphasis on the “expanded international cast” of the upcoming season, including Costa Ronin (The Americans, Homeland) and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Oblivion).
Season two of The Terminal List will stream worldwide from Prime Video on October 21, while all episodes of season one and Dark Wolf are streaming now.
