Eight years after the explosive conclusion of its first season, The Night Manager is officially returning. As Prime Video announced, the streamer has joined forces with the BBC to release first-look images of the second season of the award-winning thriller starring Tom Hiddleston (Loki, The Life of Chuck). All six episodes will launch globally on Prime Video, excluding the U.K., where they will debut on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. View the photos below.

According to Prime Video, season two continues the story of Jonathan Pine, the former British intelligence agent portrayed by Hiddleston, as he tries to leave his past behind. Now operating under the alias Alex Goodwin and working in a low-level MI6 surveillance position, Pine’s quiet life is disrupted after he crosses paths with a familiar face from his past, setting off a dangerous new mission.
The upcoming installment expands the story beyond John le Carré’s novel ( (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Spy Who Came in from the Cold) for the first time. As Prime Video details, the cast includes Diego Calva (Babylon, Narcos: Mexico) as Teddy Dos Santos, Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & The Six, Mickey and the Bear) as Roxana Bolaños, Indira Varma (Obsession, Game of Thrones) as Mayra, Paul Chahidi (The Serpent Queen, Wicked Little Letters) as Basil, and Hayley Squires (Adult Material, I, Daniel Blake) as Sally.
As Prime Video noted that returning from the original series are Academy Award winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite, The Crown) as Angela Burr, Alistair Petrie (Sex Education, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as Sandy Langbourne, Douglas Hodge (Joker, Black Mirror) as Rex Mayhew, Michael Nardone (Traces, Rome) as Frisky, and Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Honey Boy) as Daniel Roper.

The new season, directed entirely by BAFTA winner Georgi Banks-Davies (I Hate Suzie, Paper Girls), was filmed across the U.K., Spain, Colombia, and France. Prime Video reports that creator David Farr (The Night Manager, Hanna) returns as showrunner and executive producer, joined by Stephen Garrett (The Magpie Murders, The Rook), Simon Cornwell (The Ink Factory, The Little Drummer Girl), Hugh Laurie (House, The Personal History of David Copperfield), Michele Wolkoff (The Man from Toronto, Trolls Band Together), and Hiddleston (Loki, The Life of Chuck) himself. Production companies include The Ink Factory, Character 7, Demarest Films, and Nostromo Pictures.
The official synopsis stated by Prime Video reads:
“Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) thought he’d buried his past. Now living as Alex Goodwin a low-level MI6 officer running a quiet surveillance unit in London, his life is comfortingly uneventful. Then one night a chance sighting of an old Roper mercenary prompts a call to action and leads Pine to a violent encounter with a new player: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva)… Pine races to expose a conspiracy designed to destabilise a nation. And with betrayal at every turn, he must decide whose trust he needs to earn and how far he’s willing to go before it’s too late.”
The Night Manager Season Two will debut in 2025 on BBC platforms in the U.K. and globally on Prime Video.
