President Obama Appearing on HBO’s ‘Real Time With Bill Maher’

It looks like President Obama has finally responded to Bill Maher’s invitation.

HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher is set to have President Barack Obama as a guest on Friday, November 4th’s episode. Maher will tape his interview with President Obama on Tuesday, November 1st.

Back in January Maher posted a petition on the White House website in order to persuade President Obama to appear on the show.

“I’m thrilled that the president has finally accepted our invitation to come on the show — just like with the country, he always comes through in the end,” said Maher.

Over the summer Real Time was picked up for 15th and 16th season, which will see the show airing through 2018. Though Maher will most likely be unable to top having President Obama as a guest, he has still welcomed some amazing people to the show. Panels have included politicians and celebrities alike, pairing people like Senator Barbara Boxer with Zach Galifianakis.

Maher posted an announcement of the scheduled interview on YouTube:

The current season of Real Time has done well for HBO, averaging 4.4 million viewers and the most-watched season of the series since its first season in 2003. The series is executive produced by Maher, Scott Carter, Sheila Griffiths, Brad Grey, Marc Gurvitz, Dean E. Johnsen, and Billy Martin.
