‘Power Book IV: Force’ Season Two Gets September First Release Date In New Teaser

As discussed by Deadline, the Starz series Power Book IV: Force has set a season two premiere date of September first as well as a teaser trailer. The series is the third spinoff of the Power franchise.

Power Book IV: Force stars Joseph Sikora (Jack Reacher, Ozark) as Tommy Egan, a convinced drug dealer looking to get a leg up in the Chicago drug business. In the first season of the show, Egan plans for a quick stop in Chicago to resolve old issues but gets caught up between two of the city’s biggest drug crews. In the second season, Egan will work to avenge the death of his business partner Lilliana. One of the elements of the second season the teaser showcases is is FBI and law enforcement cracking down on Chicago’s drug scene.

Power Book IV: Force is the third spinoff in the Power franchise. The original series, Power, is about a drug dealer who goes by the name “Ghost,” struggling to manage his drug business and his legitimate nightclub business. Series Power Book II: Ghost, follows the character Tariq St. Patrick, Ghost’s son, as he tries to distance himself from his father. Ghost was renewed for fourth season this January. The second spinoff series, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, is about Ghost’s mentor getting into the drug business. After Force, a fourth series, Power Book V: Influence, was canceled in August 2022.

The series is executive produced by Gary Lenna (Euphoria, Power), who also serves as the showrunner for the second season of Force. Power and its spinoffs are part of Starz’s Power universe produced and created by Courtney A. Kemp and her production company End of Episode. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson also produces the series with G-Unit Film and Television. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television for Starz.
