Pitbull Hosts American Music Awards Again

Pitbull is set to host the American Music Awards yet again!

The very high-profile rapper will host the ceremony on November 23rd, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Pitbull is also scheduled to perform a song from his upcoming album Globalization.

“World, who would have thought Pitbull hosting the AMAs two years in a row,” said Armando Christian Perez, better known by his Pitbull stage name, in a statement. “The harder I work, the luckier I get. Thank you ABC and dick clark productions for the amazing opportunity — more than anything, let’s get ready to have fun. Dale!”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Along with Charli XCX, Pitbull is among one of the first confirmed performers for the show, though a  hefty lineup will be announced in the coming week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

After such a successful job hosting the 2013 American Music Awards, attracting 12.93 million total viewers, it was no surprise the well-known rapper would be asked back to host.

For those just tuning in the rumors of what is in store for the 2013 AMAs, Iggy Azalea has six nominations, just ahead of John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams, with five nominations each. Lorde is up for four awards.

Considered to be the world’s biggest fan-voted award show, the American Music Awards will be broadcast live from L.A.’s Nokia Theatre. ABC will air the broadcast live from 8 p.m. ET.
