Breakout star Paul Anthony Kelly (Love Story, Body Language) has new ‘do for the new 13th season of American Horror Story, which is currently in production. Deadline reported that American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy (Glee, Pose) posted a first-look of the actor on Instagram, who had previously played a lead role in Murphy’s Love Story, sporting expertly-styled blonde hair in a burgundy suit.

The actor gained widespread notoriety for his portrayal of John F. Kennedy Jr. in Love Story, Murphy’s biographical romantic-drama anthology following the relationship of JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Love Story is part of Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s (Scream Queens, The Brothers Sun) critically acclaimed anthology franchise for FX, “American Story,” encompassing AHS, American Crime Story, American Horror Stories, American Sports Story, and Love Story.
While his role has yet to be revealed, Kelly was announced in May of this year to have joined the cast of the upcoming season – Various cast and character confirmations, via Deadline, connect AHS 13 as an extension of the Coven concept in season three, which ties in further to season five (Hotel) and season eight (Apocalypse).
This season is shaping up to be a reunion special for several previous cast members of the series, while several returning actors are set to reprise their roles from prior seasons of AHS. Jessica Lange (Cape Fear, A Streetcar Named Desire), Sarah Paulson (Ratched, Glass), Evan Peters (Mare of Easttown, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffry Dahmer Story), Emma Roberts (Nancy Drew, Scream Queens), Angela Bassett (9-1-1, Black Panther), Kathy Bates (Annie, Matlock), Gabourey Sidibe (Empire, Difficult People), Leslie Grossman (What I Like About You, Popular), Mat Fraser (Unarmed But Dangerous, Helen of Troy, and John Carroll Lynch (The Founder, Fargo) are set to return. New players added to the cast include Berto Colón (Orange Is the New Black, Show Me Hero), Mena Suvari (American Beauty, American Pie), Ariana Grande (Wicked, Wicked: For Good), and John Waters (Hairspray, Cry-Baby).
Colón’s role is one of the few with some significant details to share, as it was stated prior that he would be playing the role of a staff member; in this case, Joe the Doorman, employed by Jessica Lange’s character.

Per Deadline, produced by 20th Television, AHS is FX’s longest-running hourlong series, which has amassed more than 100 Emmy nominations since its release in 2011.
