According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adams and Isaacs will star opposite Zoe Saldana in the four-hour miniseries, Rosemary’s Baby. The miniseries is based on author Ira Levin’s classic 1967 horror novel of the same name and is the second adaptation of the novel. The first adaption of the novel was the 1968 feature film, Rosemary’s Baby directed by Roman Polanski. The original Rosemary’s Baby earned supporting actress Ruth Gordon an Oscar and Polanski a writing nomination.

Rosemary’s Baby centers on a young married couple who move into a Paris apartment that has a haunted past. After getting pregnant, Rosemary Woodhouse (Saldana) becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband Guy (Adams) and their neighbors will have ulterior motives when her child is born.

Isaacs will play warlock/coven leader Roman Castevet and Adam will play Guy, Rosemary’s husband. In the 1968 feature, Sidney Blackmer played Isaacs’s role Castevet and John Cassavetes played Adams’ role, Guy.

Joshua Maurer, Alix Witlin and David Stern are on board to executive produce. Scott Abbott and James Wong will write the screenplay and Agnieszka Holland, who has been nominated for both an Oscar and an Emmy will direct.
