According to Deadline, Pat Colbert (The Fall Guy, S.O.B, True Colors), beloved for her role as Dora Mae in the iconic series Dallas, has died at the age of 77. According to multiple reports, Colbert passed away on June 23 at her home in Compton. She had endured three strokes over the past decade.
As mentioned by Deadline, Colbert’s career began with a television debut in 1979’s Eischied, where she played a model alongside Joe Don Baker (Walking Tail, Cape Fear, The Outfit). She quickly rose to prominence, co-starring in Flamingo Road with a star-studded cast including John Beck (Sleeper, Rollerball, Baywatch), Woody Brown (The Accused, Dominion, Knight Rider), Peter Donat (The Game, The X-Files, School Ties), Howard Duff (The Naked City, No Way Out, While The City Sleeps), Morgan Fairchild (Friends, The Seduction, Falcon Crest) and Barbara Rush (It Came From Outer Space, When Worlds Collide, Hombre).
Throughout the 1980s, Colbert graced numerous TV shows with her presence. She appeared in Benson, The Fall Guy, Knots Landing and A Death in California. Additionally, she starred in CBS’s political soap opera Capitol as Cora Mullens.
Deadline states that her role in Dallas began during its seventh season in 1983 when she portrayed Dora Mae, the host and manager of the Oil Baron’s Club. Colbert remained a part of the show until its final season in 1991.
Following her success on Dallas, Colbert appeared in episodes of Sisters and True Colors in 1991. She also ventured into film, playing roles like The Nurse in S.O.B. in 1981.
