According to Deadline, Paramount+ has announced that Taylor Sheridan‘s (Special Ops: Lioness, Wind River) hit oil drama series Landman will be renewed for a third season.

As per Deadline, Landman is set in boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern tale of seeking fortune among roughnecks and wildcat billionaires, fueling an oil boom so big it’s reshaping the climate, the economy and geopolitics.

According to Deadline, the logline for the series is as follows: “As oil rises from the earth, so do secrets — and Tommy Norris’ breaking point may be closer than he realizes. Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller, and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn’t noble — it’s brutal. And sooner or later something’s got to break.”

According to Deadline, Landman was co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace (Boomtown), as well as Billy Bob Thornton (Goliath, Frago) and Demi Moore (Ghost, Striptease). The series is also executive produced by Sheridan, David C.
