Ahead of the upcoming Star Trek series – Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – Paramount+ has revealed its first official trailer, according to Deadline. The series will premiere next month exclusively in the U.S., Latin America, Australia and the Nordics.
The 10-episode first season will center around Captain Christopher Pike and the USS Enterprise crew prior to the original Star Trek series took place. It will star Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn (Femme Fatale) as Number One and Ethan Peck (10 Things I Hate About You) as Science Officer Spock.
Jesse Bush (Birds of Prey), Christina Chong (Halo: Nightfall), Celia Rose Gooding (Good Morning America), Melissa Navia (Love Me Anyway) and Babs Olusanmokun (Wrath of Man) will also be featured. The series was initially given series order in May 2020 – adding to the already-existing shows within the Star Trek universe, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Discovery, Str Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Short Treks.
One month before the series has even premiered, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has already been renewed for a second season. The freshman season will debut May 5, and the official trailer can be viewed below.
