So many 2000s kids grew up with Jamie Lynn Spears (Sweet Magnolias, All That) as Zoey Brooks in the iconic Nickelodeon television series Zoey 101. Spears has been missed greatly since the show ended in 2008, but now she’s back and just as confused about life and love as she once was!
In partnership with Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action, Paramount+ has dropped the official new trailer and release dates for the Zoey 101 spinoff movie Zoey 102! According to Deadline, the original cast of Zoey 101 will be returning to Pacific Coast Academy in Malibu, California for a wedding. However, this wedding turns into an unforgettable reunion!
Along with Spears returning, a great number of the original cast will be returning to Malibu as well. The beloved Quinn Pensky, Zoey’s best friend in Zoey 101 will be returning with original cast member Erin Sanders (Big Time Rush, The Call). Along with Sean Flynn (The Last of Robin Hood, Zoey 101) returning as Zoey’s complicated love interest Chase Matthews. Also returning are iconic characters Christopher Massey (Henry Danger, Mary and Max) as Michael Barret, Matthew Underwood (Reality Horror Night, Casper’s Scare School) as Logan Reese, Jack Salvatore (Drillbit Taylor, 10 Things I Hate About You) as Mark Del Figgalo, and Abby Wilde (Sam & Cat, iCarly) as Stacey Dillsen.
The original Zoey 101 series was created by San Schneider (Victorious, Drake & Josh) and debuted on Nickelodeon in January of 2005.
Zoey 102 is directed by Nancy Hower (Star Trek: Voyager, Catch and Release). Writing completed by Monica Sherer (The Real Bros of Simi Valley, Betch) and Madeline Whitby (Like and Subscribe, Foursome), who also took part in production alongside Spears, Hower, and Alexis Fisher (Shoot the Cactus, Vixen Highway). Production of Zoey 102 for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Shauna Phelan (The Cooler, The Matador) and Zack Olin (Are You Afraid of the Dark, Titan A.E,). Phelan and Olin are the co-heads of Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Live-Action.
