Oxygen Media will premiere a new docu-series, Sisterhood of Hip Hop, on August 12.
According to Deadline, the docu-series will consist of eight-episodes centering on up-and-coming female emcees in the Hip Hop world where men tend to dominate. The series comes from 51 Minds (TI and Tiny: The Family Hustle, Below Deck).
These up-and-comers are discovered and mentored by hip hop stars Bia, Brianna Perry, Diamond, Nyemiah Supreme and Siya. There will be some big special appearances by Eve, Lil Jon, Travie McCoy, Rick Ross, Tank, and Irv Gotti.
Executive producers on the series are Grammy-Award winning recording artist T.I., Christian Sarabia, Rabih Gholam and Roy Orecchio.
Sisterhood of Hip Hop will premiere on August 12 at 9 PM. There will be a preview special on July 22 at 8:15 PM.
