NYCC: Prime Video’s ‘Secret Level’ Reveals Cast Including Two Schwarzeneggers, Claudia Doumit, And Kevin Hart

Prime Video’s highly-anticipated animated anthology series, Secret Level, appeared at New York Comic Con this weekend. The series first announced in August revealed its star-studded cast ahead of its December premiere date.

From the creative team behind Netflix’s LOVE, DEATH + ROBOTS, the series follows original characters based on or inspired by universes from popular video game franchises. To match its breathtaking visuals, the cast boasts some of the biggest Hollywood names including Claudia Doumit (The Boys), Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator Franchise, Fubar) and son Patrick Schwarzenegger (The White Lotus, The Boys), Michael Beach (The Perfect Couple, Tulsa King), Kevin Hart (Jumanji, Fight Night), Keanu Reeves (John Wick, Always Be My Maybe), Emily Swallow (The Mandalorian, The Mentalist), Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us, Terminator: Dark Fate), Temuera Morrison (The Book of Boba Fett, Chief of War), Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie, Ashoka), Heaven Hart, Ricky Whittle (American Gods, Land of Bad), Merle Dandridge (The Last of Us, Greenleaf),  Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, The Union), Clive Standen (Vikings, The Morning Show), and Laura Bailey (The Legend of Vox Machina).

mxdwn recently attended an exclusive event where a series episode, “New World: Aeternum”,  was screened. The episode followed a character crash landing on a planet where life continues after death. Following the screening event, a panel featured series creators Tim Miller (Terminator: Dark Fate, Deadpool), Dave Wilson (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Bloodshot), and Robert Chestney (Star Wars: The Old Republic, Wizard 10).

According to the press release, Secret Level will consist of 15 episodes, each exploring a different protagonist in a different world pulled from the great storytelling of video games such as Armored Core, Mega-Man, Sifu, Unreal Tournament, Warhammer 40,000, and The Outer Worlds. 

This was the second major panel from Prime Video during the four-day event. Friday, October 18, the streaming platform assembled the cast and creatives behind the crime-thriller series, Cross, starring Aldis Hodge. Season one is set to premiere on November 14.

Secret Level premieres with two episodes weekly on December 10 only on Prime Video.
