NYCC: ‘Dragon Ball Daima’ Anime Premieres Trailer

According to Comicbook, at New York Comic Con a new installment to the Dragon Ball anime franchise has just been announced. The series named Dragon Ball Daima will not be a continuation of the long-awaited return of Dragon Ball Super but instead, focus on the gaps between the series and Dragon Ball Z. The series is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2024 and will stand as the next canon installment of the franchise.

Below is a Twitter post showing the trailer for the series announced at New York Comic Con.

According to Comicbook, the fan-favorite protagonist Goku is expected to be transformed into a younger form of himself and forced to travel to space with Kaioshin. With this exploration of the galaxy, many fans can only imagine the types of adventures and dangers Goku will face. 

According to Comicbook, the start of the franchise began with Dragon Ball and the full synopsis reads as follows, “Legend has it that if all seven of the precious orbs called Dragon Balls are gathered together, an incredibly powerful dragon god will appear to grant one wish. Unfortunately, the orbs are scattered across the world, making them extremely difficult to collect. Enter 16-year-old Bulma, a scientific genius who has constructed a radar to detect the exact locations of the Dragon Balls. She’s on a mission to find all seven orbs, but first, she must convince young Son Goku to join her on her quest. With a monkey tail, superhuman strength, and a magic staff for a weapon, Son Goku is ready to set out on the adventure of a lifetime…”
