
Attention Spider-Man fanatics, according to Variety, straight from New York Comic Con, we have been given a release date for season two of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. That’s right, as of next year, we will continue the adventure of everyone’s favorite web warrior. Spoiler warning for anyone who has not seen the series.
For those who don’t know, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an animated series that takes place on an Earth with Spider-Man who is joined by some new and familiar faces. In this universe Spider-Man is given aid from Norman Osborn, along for the journey are Peter’s friends Nico Minoru, a teenage who is starting to awake her mystical abilities and Norman Osborn, the son of Norman Osborn. In the last season, Spider-Man with the help of Doctor Strange fought a mysterious symbiote alien, who had left behind its sample behind and Norman was able to capture it for purposes we do not know. The series also ended with Aunt May going to prison to visit Richard Parker, Peter’s father who is presumed to be dead.
The cast consists of Hudson Thames (Marvel Zombies, Oak), Kari Wahlgren (Get Jiro!, Adventure Time: Side Quests), Eugene Byrd (Spidey and His Amazing Friends, The Legend of Vox Machina), Colman Domingo (The Four Season, Disclosure Day), Grace Song (Paper Marriage, The Premise), Erica Luttrell (Order of the Sinking Star, Star Wars Zero Company), Zeno Robinson (Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Halloween: The Game), Leilani Barrett (The Drop, People of Note), Roger Craig Smith (Lego One Piece, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker – Master Collection Version), Ettore Ewen (WWE SummerSlam, WWE Clash in Italy), Zehra Fazal (Namaslay, X-Men ’97), Hugh Dancy (Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), and Anairis Quinones (Pretty Pretty Please I Don’t Want to Be a Magical Girl, Rainbow High: Shine Brighter Together).
According to Variety, the second season is set to premiere on January 13, 2027. Be sure to check out season one of the series on Disney+ so that you won’t miss out on the main event.
