Nicole Kidman Producing ‘Crime Farm’ for WarnerMedia’s Streaming Service, HBO Max

Nicole Kidman is set to produce a new show on WarnerMedia’s forthcoming streaming service, HBO Max. The working title of the drama is Crime Farm.

Crime Farm follows a husband and wife, Selma and Richard Eikelenboom, who both work as forensic homicide experts. Their marriage thrives on their intriguing investigations that dive into the depravity of the world’s most dangerous criminals. As a new case tears at the seams of their relationship, the couple’s unconventional arrangement pushes the boundaries of marriage and forensic science to the ultimate limit. Crime Farm is described as a psychosexual love story.

Kidman will executive produce the series with Janine Sherman Barrois (Claws, Criminal Minds) who will pen the script. Per Saari will also produce Crime Farm. Saari is currently producing Big Little Lies, which Kidman stars in as Celeste Wright.

Kidman has numerous projects on her plate. In addition to Crime Farm, Kidman is set to produce both the upcoming Hulu series Nine Perfect Strangers and the Amazon series The Expatriates. She will also produce and star in the HBO limited series The Undoing.

In The Undoing, Kidman will play Grace Sachs. Sachs is an Upper East Side therapist who is preparing to publish her first book. The book, “You Should Have Known”, is a self-help book that reproaches women who lie to themselves about what their husbands are doing. Sachs’ life is turned upside down by the horrific death of another mother, and her husband’s disappearance. HBO has not released a premiere date yet.

HBO Max is expected to launch in late 2019. The streaming service will have approximately ten thousand hours of content. Content will range from originals to previously released programs. Originals include The Flight Attendant, Over My Dead Body, Dune: The Sisterhood, a Gremlins prequel, Love Life, and Tokyo Vice. WarnerMedia will also have the streaming rights for The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Pretty Little Liars, and Friends which will stop streaming on Netflix in the beginning of 2020.
