The actor will play an alcoholic attorney who has to dry out in order to keep his job and his freedom.
Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz) got a part in one of the biggest casting coups for Fox, as noted by Deadline. The British writer-actor will be a regular on Sober Companion as Robert, a smart attorney who is an addict and who passes out in court at one point. That will be the moment when Robert will be assigned a sober companion for the next 90 days.
The trick is that Frost’s character will have to stay away from everything that seems fun to him, otherwise he will lose his job and of course, his freedom.
The actor will star in the comedy opposite Justin Long, who will play the role of this companion. This is the first American TV gig for Frost who is repped by UTA, Think Tank Management and UK’s Hamilton/Hodell.
Sober Companion from CBS Television Studios is exec. produced and written by David S. Rosenthal and Jennie Snyder Urman.
