Nick Frost is about to bust out his martial arts skills.
Deadline reports that Frost (Attack the Block, Paul, The Cornetto Trilogy) will be a series regular on the ten-episode second season of AMC’s martial arts crime drama Into The Badlands.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar’s Into The Badlands follows a ruthless warrior and his young boy companion as they embark on an adventure through dangerous, feudal baron-controlled lands in search of enlightenment. The cast features Daniel Wu, Aramis Knight, Orla Brady, Sarah Bolger, Emily Beecham, Oliver Stark, Madeleine Mantock, Ally Ioannides, Marton Csokas, Benjamin Papac, Mike Seal and Stephen Lang.
Back in March AMC renewed Into The Badlands for a second season, with the season set to air sometime in 2017. The series had the third highest-rated first season in U.S. cable history with an average of 5.6 million viewers an episode. Into The Badlands is executive produced by Gough, Millar, Stacey Sher, Michael Shamberg, David Dobkin, Stephen Fung and Daniel Wu.
