According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new TV network, All Women’s Sports Network, co-founded by Whoopi Goldberg will launch on Pluto TV. This new network is available in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, and the Nordics.

The All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN) is a global sports network that is dedicated to women’s sports, with co-founders Jungo TV and Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost and Sister Act). Pluto TV, Paramount Global’s TV (FAST), free streaming service supported by ads, revealed a worldwide content partnership on Monday, as stated by THR

THR states that the intent is to make women’s sports more easily and freely accessible to viewers worldwide by means of a FAST Channel; “AWSN’s dedicated Pluto TV channel is set to feature a dedicated 24/7 linear stream, including over 2,500 hours of live women’s sports annually and a robust offering of on-demand programming,” stated the partners.

Partners also noted that that “viewers will gain access to premier competitions and leagues, such as Athletes Unlimited Softball League; FIBA 3×3; FIBA 3XBA (a 3×3 basketball series featuring WNBA and NCAA talent); DGPT Pro Disc Golf Tour; WNBL Basketball; H1 Field Hockey; WFA Tackle Football; WFTDA-sanctioned Roller Derby; and Women’s Football Weekly, featuring the latest highlights from Serie A Italy, Bundesliga, Division I Féminine (French Premier League); ECC-W, Women’s European Cricket Championship; and the Barclays Women’s Championship,” via THR

THR mentioned that beginning this month, all AWSN content as well as the channel itself will be available on Pluto TV across the U.K., the Nordics, and Canada, also airing Suncorp Super Netball from Australia.

Senior VP of international content strategy and acquisitions at Pluto TV, Katrina Kowalski, stated that this is a “new era for women’s sports, and the appetite for this content is increasing across the globe. Sharing the mission to spotlight and uplift these incredible women’s sports and the extraordinary athletes who compete in multiple leagues with AWSN is a testament to our commitment to delivering compelling, diverse content that feeds fandom and gives space to all sports,” via THR

According to THR, Goldberg expresses excitement about this new growing network, stating that “for far too long, incredible women athletes have been competing at the highest levels without the recognition they deserve. AWSN is here to change that. It’s not just a network — it’s a platform that turns visibility into opportunity, where ambition and performance take center stage, and where young girls and women can see themselves reflected in the power and potential of elite competition.”

The CEO and co-founder of Jungo TV and AWSN, George Chung, also commended this new deal. He says via THR: “This is about access, visibility and changing the game. Together, we’re bringing fans the biggest stage yet for live women’s sports, all at no cost.”
