According to Coming Soon, Skylanders Academy, the animated series has released a new trailer. The show will be available exclusively on Netflix beginning Friday, October 28th. The original series for kids is the first production created by Activision Blizzard Studios. Watch the Skylanders Academy trailer below!
The show is based on Activision Blizzard’s pioneering Skylander video game franchise. The series follows the brave adventures of Spyro, Eruptor, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac and Pop Fizz. Together, the team travel across the neverending Skylands universe, protecting it from evil everywhere. The animated show assures that viewers will be on the edge of their seats with engaging action for kids of all ages.
The series is led by showrunner Eric Rodgers (Futurama), and features the voices of Justin Long (Dodgeball) as Spyro; Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) as Stealth Elf; Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as Eruptor; and Norm MacDonald (Saturday Night Live) as Glumshanks. Some of the guest voices for the show includes Susan Sarandon, Daniel Wu, Bobcat Goldthwait, The Diamond Minecart, Parker Posey, James Hetfield, Catherine O’Hara, Chris Diamantopoulos and Harland Williams.
Stacey Sher and Nick van Dyk, the Co-Presidents for Activision Blizzard Studios are joined by Bobby Kotick the CEO of Activision Blizzard. Sander Schwartz, the Emmy award-winning producer of several animated hits including The Batman, The Aquabats!, and Super Show!, will serve as the show’s executive producer alongside Kotick. Skylanders Imaginators, the latest Skylanders game, will give players the opportunity to showcase their imaginations by creating their own Skylanders. The game will be available for purchase worldwide on October 16, 2016.
