AMC’s The Walking Dead spinoff Fear The Walking Dead has a new teaser.
The teaser shows the character Nick, played by Frank Dillane, running from something. Creator Robert Kirkman has previously revealed information in an interview with Entertainment Weekly regarding Nick and said he, “is pretty much a parent’s worst nightmare. He has flunked out of college, had a lot of trouble, got mixed up in some bad elements, and is definitely the problem child.”
The teaser, which can be seen below, does not give much information on Nick or the plot. Nick is seen running through tight spaces and into the streets of Los Angeles where the spinoff will be based. What he is running from goes unseen in the teaser but is presumably one of the walkers.
In other news about the upcoming series, Kirkman has also revealed how the two series may interact. For viewers interested in learning more about the walkers he told Entertainment Weekly, “anything that you learn from Fear the Walking Dead will apply to the mythology of The Walking Dead and vice versa.” If the characters in the spinoff learn new details about the outbreak or the walkers those rules would apply to The Walking Dead as well.
As a hint for future plot points in Fear The Walking Dead Kirkman adds, “you are going to get to see that the characters learn that they’re all infected in a much different way.”
Fear The Walking Dead will premiere on AMC in August.
