

A clip for Wednesday season two has been released and it showcases that the title character, played by Jenna Ortega (Death of a Unicorn, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) has a bigger case to solve at Nevermore, while also unpacking more family drama. According to Screenrant, the sneak peek includes behind-the-scenes footage from the cast and crew which shows the entire family inside the home of Marilynn Thornhill aka Laura Gates, played by Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets, Addams Family).
According to mxdwn, fan favorites such as Morticia played by Catherine Zeta-Jones (The Terminal, Ocean’s Eleven), Gomez played by Luis Guzmán (Turbo, Genie), and Pugsley played by Isaac Ordonez (A Wrinkle in Time ,7th & Union) will have expanded time with the Pugsley joining his sister at Nevemore. The season will include some new members such as Grandmama, played by Joanna Lumley (Amandaland, Fool Me Once) and the new Lurch, portrayed by Joonas Suotamo (The Acolyte, The Last Jedi).
During an interview with Screenrant, Ortega goes on to state her excitement working with Tim Burton on the set,“There’s always something thrilling about working for Tim Burton.[…] The world that they’ve created here, it looks sensational. It’s gothic, sometimes quite bone-chilling, but it’s kind of playful.”
According to mxdwn, the second season will likely delve deeper into the hidden mysteries within Nevermore, which Wednesday is eager to uncover. The Addams family is expected to have more interactions with the students of Nevermore, including Enid, played by Emma Myers (Family Switch, Minecraft Movie), and Eugene, played by Moosa Mostafa (Nativity Rocks!, The Last Bus), who will be Pugsley’s roommate. Additionally, Bianca, played by Joy Sunday (Dog, Bad Hair), will also be part of the storyline.
According to Screenrant, the second season’s layout will be different from the previous one by being split into two parts with the first one releasing on August 6, followed by the second part on September 3. While fans await on the release of the second season, the entire first season of Wednesday is available to stream on Netflix.
