The supernatural series Wednesday broke the record for the most hours viewed in a week for any English-language series with 341.23 million hours viewed in the first week, beating Netflix’s previous record holder Stranger Things 4 which debuted at 335 million hours viewed, according to Deadline. Squid Game is currently the all-time record holder with 571.8 million views in its peak week on Netflix, via Deadline. Netflix reports that Wednesday is currently in the top ten in 93 countries, No. 1 in 83 of them, and has been viewed in over 50 million households, according to Deadline.
The series follows the oldest child of the Addams family, Wednesday, as she attends Nevermore Academy and attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago, via Deadline.
