Netflix’s ‘The Recruit’ Releases Official New Casting For Season Two

The Recruit, Netflix’s hit series, has announced the complete casting for its second season, ComicBook.com reports. This renewed season stars Brooke Smith (Grey’s Anatomy, The Act, Silence of the Lambs), James Purefoy (Rome, Solomon Kane, The Following), Felix Solis (The Rookie: Feds, Ozark, Tallulah), Devika Bhise (The Rookie: Feds, Chicago Med, The Rest of Us), Do Hyun Shin (Hospital Playlist, Love with Flaws), Young-Ah Kim (Juvenile Justice, The Gamekillers, The Mother), Omar Maskati (Good Sam, Evil Eye, NCIS: Los Angeles), Alana Hawley Purvis (Range Roads, Charmed, Supergirl), and Sanghee Lee (All of Us Are Dead, Daily Dose of Sunshine, Decibel). Teo Yoo (Past Lives. Money Game, Chocolate) will become a series regular along with this stellar cast. Production is currently ongoing, for the second season of the series, in Vancouver, and will transfer to Seoul, South Korea very soon.

The Recruit‘s second season storyline shows Owen Hendricks, portrayed by Noah Centineo (To All The Boys I Loved Before, Austin And Ally, The Perfect Date), catapulted into another dangerous mission in South Korea, as he realizes the real threat to the mission is an infiltrator from the Agency itself.

According to ComicBook.com, The Recruit‘s main focus in the story is Owen Hendricks, a CIA lawyer who is very young and his first week in the new job gets messed up when he finds out a suspicious letter by his enemy Max Meladze, portrayed by Laura Haddock (Da Vinci’s Demons, Downtown Abbey: A New Era, Guardians of the Galaxy), who wants to reveal the agency’s existence unless they charge her for federal crimes. Owen becomes caught in the middle of a threatening world that includes powerful politicians and masterminds. This allows him to travel the world in the meantime, and prove himself worthy of a job at the CIA.

The creator of the series, Alexi Hawley, has shared her thoughts on the second season being back in production, in an exclusive interview. “I’m thrilled to dive back into the fun, funny, action-packed world of The Recruit,” Hawley stated, via ComicBook.com. “Seeing how invested our audience became in the show’s adventurous take on the spy world has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to turn it all up to 11 in Season two.”
