But in order to find the ultimate prize, Luffy will need to assemble the crew he’s always wanted before finding a ship to sail, searching every inch of the vast seas, outpacing the Marines, and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn.”

According to Variety, the show was produced by Netflix, alongside the official manga publisher Shueisha, and Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner. Executive producers are Oda, Matt Owens (Luke Cage, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Joe Tracz (Dash & Lily, Percy Jackson and the Olympians), who are also the official co-showrunners of the series.

Furthermore, other producers include Tomorrow Studios’ Becky Clements (Physical, Snowpiercer) and Marty Adelstein (Made of Honor, Hanna), Chris Symes (Resident Evil, Hellboy II: The Golden Army), Tetsu Fujimura (Ghost in the Shell, Tekken, Blindness) and Steven Maeda (Lost, Day Break).
