According to The Hollywood Reporter, many shows achieved high viewership during the week of the Super Bowl. For instance, Netflix’s One Day was fifth in the list of most viewed shows, The Hollywood Reporter has reported. The show premiered on February 8th and gathered 296 million minutes of viewing in its debut week. In the last five weeks, the show had an average of 555 million views. Another show that has appeared in the Nielsen top ten most viewed shows list was Paramount+’s Halo, which was in the fourth position. It achieved a total of 354 million minutes of views as the second season was released.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, two shows surpassed billion minutes of views for this week, which were Young Sheldon and Bluey. The first one totaled 1.35 billion minutes on Max and Netflix, and the animated series has achieved total of 1.14 billion minutes on Disney+. For original shows, Mr. and Mrs. Smith was in first place with 765 million minutes of views.
HBO’s fifth episode of True Detective: Night Country had, according to The Hollywood Reporter, a 15 percent increase in minutes of views because of Max releasing it a few days earlier. The series went from 648 million to 745 million minutes. The series Royal Pains debuted on the Nielsen chart with 707 million minutes on Netflix and Prime Video, which is considerably 55 million minutes more than the popular series Suits. That series totaled 652 million minutes of views on Peacock and Netflix this week. For movies, The Marvels was the leading one on the list with a total of 558 million minutes after its Feb. 7 release on Disney+.
