Netflix’s ‘Lost in Space’ Reboot Gets a New Trailer and Premiere Date

Netflix’s Lost in Space remake will premiere on April 13th. Netflix announced that they were remaking the series in 2015. Netflix wrote in short description of the series, “The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course, forcing them to crash-land on a lost planet.” Netflix also let NASA see the series 12 days ago. They were also able to get a decent stream up to the International Space Station for the six astronauts that are currently stationed there.

With the announcement of the release date Netflix also revealed a teaser trailer.

Based on the trailer the series itself takes place thirty years in the future. The Robinson family are headed to a colony in the Alpha Centauri system. The trailer also gave a nod to the original series by adding their theme song right before the family robot said, “Danger, Will Robinson!” This version of the series promises to be a modern retelling of the Robinson’s wayward mission.

Lost in Space is starring the Robinson family which include: scientist and mother Maureen (Molly Parker), father John (Toby Stephens), their daughters Judy (Taylor Russell) and Penny (Mina Sundwall), and their son Will (Max Jenkins). Ignacio Serricchio plays as Don West (Jupiter 2’s brash pilot) and Parker Posey playing the rogue Dr. Smith.
