Netflix’s Live Action “One Piece” Adds Katey Sagal And Mark Harelik Into The Cast Of Season Two

Major updates have surfaced about Netflix’s live adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s (One Piece Film: Red) One Piece.The series follows the same story as in the animated show, in which Luffy, played by Iñaki Godoy (MexZombies), along with his crew, comprised of Emily Rudd (Delicious in Dungeon) as Nami, Mackenyu (Rurouni Kenshin: The Final) as Zoro, Jacob Romero (Greenleaf) as Usopp and Taz Skylar (Gassed Up) as Sanji, exploring the Grand Line.According to Deadline, other recurring characters will include Jeff Ward (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Buggy and Ilia Isorelys Paulino (Family Switch) as Alvida.

According to Deadline, it has been announced that Katey Sagal (The Big Bang Theory) is set to play Dr. Kureha, skilled doctor who resigns on Drum Island. With this information, fans of the shows could speculate that Tony Chopper could be making an appearance in the upcoming season.This role was originally set for Jamie Lee Curtis (Borderlands). However, according to a previous mxdwn post, the character’s script was already being developed. Curtis’ future projects made it difficult for her to find an opening in the series. Mark Harelik (Jurassic Park III) will join Sagal and play Dr. Hiriluk.

Sagal and Harelik aren’t the only additions to the new season; as stated in an mxdwn post, viewers will also see Daniel Lasker (Raised by Wolves) as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson (Batwoman) as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn (Professional Lioness) as Miss Valentine and David Dastmalchian (Dune) as Mr. 3.

As the second season of One Piece continues to unfold, fans can look forward to experiencing the adventures of Luffy and his crew with even more excitement and anticipation. According to Deadline, the series will be produced in about two months, and the location of the series will be in Cape Town, South Africa. While waiting on further information on the release date of the second season, the entire first one is available to stream on Netflix.
