The upcoming Netflix television drama Cursed has released trailer for its audience to get an understanding of what to expect from the series, according to Screen Rant. The show is created by comic book creator Frank Miller (Sin City, 300, The Dark Knight Returns) and Tom Wheeler (The Cape, The Lego Ninjago Movie) was announced it had received its series order from the streaming service in 2018. In contrast to another fantasy series The Witcher, this new drama is set to attract Netflix’s young adult audience with Cursed’s premise revolving around the story of King Arthur. The upcoming first season will consist of ten episodes and will debut on the streaming platform on July 17 of 2020.
Cursed will center on the legend of King Arthur, however, it will take an unconventional turn to the well-known tale. The show will be told through the main character Nimue, a heroine that is attempting to claim the title of Lady of the Lake, at the time of meeting Arthur following the demise of her mother. Nimue will be portrayed by Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why, Knives Out) in her second role on a Netflix series. The cast will also include Devon Terrell (Barry, Ophelia) as Arthur and Gustaf Skarsgård (Vikings, Westword) as Merlin in addition to Shalom Brune-Franklin (Doctor Doctor), Peter Mullan (Braveheart, Children of Men), Sebastian Armesto (Broadchurch, Harlots), Daniel Sharman (The Originals, Teen Wolf), and many more.
