Netflix’s Bridgerton has shared a new clip to promote #Polin’s storyline, Comicbook.com reports. In the clip, Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton are caressing each other in front of a mirror, just to tease the fans. The people who read the original book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn (Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Lorraine), know that scene pretty well as it is a steamy conversation in front of the mirror. Fans see Penelope looking at herself in the mirror as Colin comes up to to play with the top hem of her dress. The tension is skyrocketing as they give each other a loving look to each other.
In the X/Twitter post below, according to Comicbook.com, the Bridgerton official account posed the following question to fans, “A look such as this from Mister Colin Bridgerton would surely make even the most perennial of wallflowers swoon. Would it not?” Most of the fans have answered yes, and they are more excited than ever to see their favorite couple’s story come to life.

Shondaland has interviewed the main leads of this season, Luke Newton (The Lodge, The Cut, Lake Placid: Legacy) and Nicola Coughlan (Derry Girls, Big Mood, Harlots), to explain this season’s plotline and what fans should expect. According to Comicbook.com, this will be the spiciest season of them all, so fans better get prepared to fangirl the entire time.
“This is my third year on the show, and I knew the workload was going to be crazy,” Coughlan explained, via Comicbook.com. “But I think you do sort of sometimes feel the weight of it. You go, ‘Oh, man, this show is huge.’ It’s got a huge fandom behind it, and you do feel a bit like the captain of the ship, and you want to lead it as best you can. It was all-consuming in a way it’s never been before.”
“After the success of season two, we were all really excited to get back to work,” Newton agreed, via Comicbook.com. “I know there are people who have supported the Polin relationship since day one. So, I’m excited for them to finally get what they’ve been waiting for.”
The announcement of Season three’s main couple had fans freaking out for weeks, according to Comicbook.com. Many fans were waiting for Penelope and Colin’s story, so, since it is now approaching us, it seems like a dream come true to long-time fans of the original book.
“Bridgerton swept us off our feet,” Bela Bajaria, the Netflix’s VP, Global TV explained to the press in a previous interview, via Comicbook.com. “The creative team, led by Shonda, knew the material and delivered a beautiful, emotional, romantic drama for our members. They have some exciting plans for the future, and we think audiences will continue to swoon for this show. We’re planning to be in the Bridgerton business for a long time to come.”
“From the first time I read Julia Quinn’s delicious Bridgerton series, I knew these were stories that would captivate a viewing audience,” Shonda Rhimes (Scandal, Station 19, Grey’s Anatomy) agreed, via Comicbook.com. “But the evolution of this adaptation would not be a success without the many significant contributions of the entire Shondaland team. This two-season pickup is a strong vote of confidence in our work and I feel incredibly grateful to have partners as collaborative and creative as Netflix. Betsy and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue bringing the world of Bridgerton to a worldwide audience.”
Bridgerton‘s first two seasons are streaming on Netflix now. The first part of season three will be released on May 16 and the second part on June 13.
