The Rayburn family’s troubles aren’t going away any time soon.
Deadline reports that Netflix has ordered a third season of dark, family drama series Bloodline. The series, created by Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, is set to return with 10 episodes in 2017. This announcement comes just as both Kyle Chandler (John Rayburn) and Ben Mendelsohn (Danny Rayburn) have received their second Emmy nominations for the series.
Cindy Holland, VP of Original Content for Netflix, said about the pickup, “Todd, Daniel, and Glenn have created a riveting family saga featuring one of the most talented ensembles in the history of television. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for the all-too-human Rayburns.”
Bloodline centers on a Florida family as they are forced to confront the return of black sheep eldest brother Danny Rayburn, and the consequences that come with his return. Season 2 premiered its full season on May 27th, and left off on quite a cliffhanger leaving the Rayburns a lot to deal with in the now confirmed third season. Bloodline, along with Chandler and Mendelsohn, stars Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, Sissy Spacek, Jamie McShane, Enrique Murciano, Owen Teague, Chloe Sevigny and John Leguizamo.
