

According to Deadline, Netflix has announced a premiere date as well as showcasing first-look images for their upcoming comedy series Leanne. The upcoming series created by Leanne Morgan (You’re Cordially Invited, My Opry Debut), Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, Young Sheldon) and Susan McMartin (Mr. Church, The Conners) will air on the streamer on July 31 and have 16 episodes.
As per Deadline, here is the official logline for the series: “The multicam comedy follows Leanne (Morgan), whose life is upended when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family, she will navigate this new chapter with grace, dignity and jello salad.”
According to Deadline, the cast of the series also includes Kristen Johnston (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Music and Lyrics), Celia Weston0 (Knight and Day, Observe and Report), Blake Clark (50 First Dates, The Waterboy), Ryan Stiles (The Drew Carey Show, Astro Boy), Graham Rogers (The Kominsky Method, Out of the Ruin) and Hannah Pilkes (The Woodsman, A Square is A Rectangle). Tim Daly (Justice League: Doom, The Unholy Trinity), Jayma Mays (American Made, Epic Movie), Annie Gonzalez (Gentefied, Lopez vs. Lopez) and Blake Gibbons (Monnstalker, The Legend of Butch & Sundance) recur.
As per Deadline, Lorre, McMartin, Morgan, Nick Bakay (Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Angry Beavers) and Judi Marmel (Achmed Saves America, After Midnight) executive produce. The series comes from Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc., in association with Warner Bros. Television.
The series has yet to reveal a trailer for the first season but in Netflix fashion, there should be one as the air date gets closer.
