The comedy-drama Sex Education first debuted on Netflix in January 2019. The fourth season of the series, which will also be its final season, is set to release on September 21st. In anticipation of the season four release date, Deadline notes that Netflix has revealed the trailer.
The trailer can be viewed below.
As can be seen through the trailer, with Moordale Secondary School being closed now, the students have transferred to the completely different Cavendish College. In addition to that, Deadline notes that the trailer hints at new relationships forming and other relationships becoming more established.
The first season of Sex Education revolves around Otis Milburn, played by Asa Butterfield (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, The Space Between Us), who organizes a sex therapy clinic in secret with Maeve Wiley, played by Emma Mackey (Barbie, Death on the Nile), at Moordale Secondary School.
Through this sex therapy clinic, Otis and Maeve attempt to help fellow teens with any issues about sex that they are having. Much of Otis’s inspiration for starting the clinic comes from his mother Jean Milburn, played by Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, The Fall). She is a sex therapist and advocates for sex to be normalized in society.
The following seasons of the series hone in on the main characters and their own issues when it comes to friendships, relationships, and sex.
Other stars of the show include Ncuti Gatwa (Doctor Who, Barbie) as Otis’s best friend Eric Effiong, Conor Swindells (SAS: Rogue Heroes, The Vanishing) as Adam Groff, Aimee Lou Wood (Living, Alice & Jack) as Aimee Gibbs, Tanya Reynolds (Delicious, I Hate You) as Lily Iglehart, Mimi Keene (School for Stars, After Everything) as Ruby Matthews, and more.
Fans of Sex Education can look forward to seeing their favorite characters one last time on September 21st.
