The Murphys are coming back to Netflix.
Bill Burr announced on Twitter that the streaming service has given a second season to F Is For Family, the animated dark comedy series Burr co-created with Michael Price (The Simpsons).
According to a recent post on Burr’s Facebook page season 2 will feature ten episodes following the Murphys and their exploits. This renewal for F Is For Family shows that Netflix has confidence in the adult animation block the service has cultivated. Along with F Is For Family, Netflix also has Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s Bojack Horseman, which will premiere its 3rd season this summer.
The animated series premiered on Netflix in December of last year with a six episode season, so it is a good sign that Netflix has ordered more episodes of the show this time around.
The voice cast, along with Burr who lends his vocal talents to the patriarch of the family, includes Laura Dern, Justin Long, Debi Derryberry, Haley Reinhart and Sam Rockwell. The series follows the Murphy clan as they struggle through the everyday trials and tribulations of being a dysfunctional American family in the 1970s.
Burr is most well known for his stand-up comedy, his podcast Monday Morning Podcast and his guest role for a few episodes of Breaking Bad as one of Saul Goodman’s henchmen, Kuby.
