An upcoming Netflix young adult drama series, Outer Banks, has released its first full-length trailer, according to Deadline. The new series is created by Jonas Pate (Aquarius), Josh Pate (Blood & Oil), and Shannon Burke (Abandon) and will be an addition to Netflix’s growing young adult series library. While the Pate brothers have collaborated on various projects since their arrival in 1997 with Deceiver. The North Carolina pair are expected to bring some real-life experiences to the show set in their home state.
Outer Banks is a drama that centers around a close group of teens living at the beachy fronts of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Their summer takes an unexpected turn when a hurricane wreaks havoc on the sandy shores. Following this natural disaster, the friend group experiences situations and decisions that will change their perspectives on everything they thought they understood. The series’ cast includes Chase Stokes (Stranger Things) as John B, Rudy Pankow (Deviant) as JJ, Madison Bailey (Black Lightning) as Kiara, Madelyn Cline (Vice Principals) as Sarah Cameron, and Jonathan Daviss (Age of Summer) as Pope. Additionally, the series will feature Drew Starkey (Love, Simon) as Rafe Cameron, Charles Esten (Nashville) as Ward Cameron, and Austin North (I Didn’t Do It) as Topper.
